We believe that investing in children today, is investing in the future of our country and strengthening our community.
According to statistics from the Quebec Minister of Education, the drop-out rate for youths aged 16 to 20 is up by an alarming 40%! One of the common denominators here is the financial situation of families. Uniquely aware of this reality, Welcome Hall Mission has initiated Back-to-School with Heads Held High, where school supplies are distributed to more than 2,200 children whose parents could not otherwise afford.
To commemorate the 10th year of this special distribution, Welcome Hall Mission made a big impact with a western theme including pony rides, a mechanical bull, a saloon with juice and snacks, live music and so much more!
Back-to-School with Heads Held High 2011 was a complete success, thanks primarily to our wonderful volunteers, donors and sponsors who have children's best interest at heart!
