Camps and Special Events
Summer Camps
Thanks to our loyal donors, Welcome Hall Mission subsidizes the majority of the cost of a week at camp for more than 200 disadvantaged people. The goal is to give this inner-city population the opportunity to experience a camp in a natural and peaceful environment during the summer season. Welcome Hall Mission partners with well-established and reputable camps located in the Upper Laurentians and and Lanaudière regions. A Mission employee accompanies each group to ensure it is a wonderful experience far from the city and their daily reality.

Family Camp
Activities : soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, swimming, pedal boats, water trampolines, swinging vines and water slides, crafts, music, plays and songs. Environmental preservation and themed human history are also included.
Major Events at Welcome Hall Mission
Our events are the platform by which thousands of children to receive school supplies just in time for back-to-school and presents at Christmas, all in a festive atmosphere and holiday celebration to create happy memories despite the reality of their situation.
Back-to-School with Heads Held High: Distribution of school supplies, clothing and other accessories to more than 2,200 children aged 6 to 17 over two-days in a block-party atmosphere. The goal is to encourage student retention by equipping them with brand new school supplies and generating excitement for new academic year.
Christmas for All: Distribution of Christmas presents, clothing and other accessories to 1,700 children aged 0 to 12 years. This is a whole day of festivities with Santa Claus, craft activities, music and entertainment. The goal is instil a joy and a hope that will encourage them toward a brighter future.
Events and Outings
Children's Services organizes 10 to 15 events, outings and Christmas parties annually. The goal behind the planning of these events is to contribute to the well-being of children and their families.
