The Jim Lund Dental Clinic is named after McGill's Dean of Dentistry who died suddenly in December 2009. He was known to be a passionate advocate of quality dental care for all members of society. In fact, it was during his tenure that the Faculty's Outreach Program flourished, offering mobile dental clinics at Welcome Hall Mission twice a year. With the generous support of distinguished and socially responsible foundations and companies, the clinic was inaugurated on February 11th, 2011 and treats up to 24 patients per week. It is the first permanent free dental clinic created by a partnership between a university and a charitable organization!
Welcome Hall Mission and the McGill Faculty of Dentistry would like to thank Great-West Life, London Life, and Canada Life, the R. Howard Webster Foundation, The George Hogg Family Foundation, A-dec Inc, the Fednav Group, The James Barriere Foundation for the Underprivileged, The Foundation of Greater Montreal, the Hyclan Foundation, and Cadillac Fairview for their generous contributions and involvement in this humanitarian initiative!
To make an appointment at the Jim Lund Dental Clinic, you must either be referred by another organization that works with the homeless and underprivileged or open a file with Welcome Hall Mission by contacting Family Services.
