A planned donation is another name for a charitable donation. The expression "planned donation" has a slightly different connotation since it entails planning your donation rather than simply giving spontaneously. A planned donation generally requires some thought and organization.
A donation may be made as a living donation or as the bequest of an individual's will. Planned donations are often tied to special circumstances made through a will, life insurance or charitable annuity, but with the growth of tax benefits, it may now be worthwhile to plan a living donation.
Welcome Hall Mission's objective is to confront poverty in Montreal by providing food, shelter and clothing as well as moral, spiritual and professional support to people in need. None of this would be possible without the support of donors like you.
Anyone can make a planned donation. This is not limited to the very wealthy. You can make a donation in keeping with your personal objectives. Some options are better for business people while others are less technical and more accessible to everyone.
Financial and legal advisors don't always mention charitable donations to their clients. So it's important that you tell your advisors of your interest in Welcome Hall Mission and have them explain what planning options may fit your situation.
As well, if you have visited our website and would like more information, please contact our planned donations staff or attend one of our free group presentations outlining the planning tools to best define your objectives.
For more information, we invite you to telephone Mr. Richard Doré at 514.523.5288 ext 199; rdore@missionba.com. You can also donate on-line, or mail in your donation.
